Today we are going outside. As I was watering the garden on Wed. evening, I noticed that we have a weed problem with our spinach and lettuce crop which has now sprouted. We are needing to get the bermuda grass out of the way so our leafy plants can emerge. We will also be using this outdoor session to help all students in class understand how to properly picked produce in beans, peppers and tomato's. I am not sure if we will be going out next Tuesday or not, I would like to be in the classroom. Students are to come to class prepared to do either. Below is a link about a charter school in Kansas that is working on developing hands on projects for middle school aged students and the effectiveness of this program and its community support.
